Child support /christmas
So me and sons dad broke up and we’re broken up for about 8 months during that time I filed for child support, 4 months ago we got back together and he’s been asking me to take him off child support saying he’ll help me without it. I tried however child support told me I couldn’t because of some new code thing they have. So he has to pay unless he’s in the home which he’s not he lives with his mom pays no bills not even buying himself toilet paper. His mom takes care of him as if he were still a child. He’s 36. Anyways the last 2 months he was out of work so arrears happened and he gave me money out of pocket not even close to what they said he needs to pay but I told them he paid it. Now it’s Christmas and I went and bought him a bunch of stuff and he told me he’s just going to give me money for Christmas even after I told him what he could get after he asked what I wanted, and I told him well I’m not considering that as child support that’s a gift, it’s the same thing he did on my birthday gave me a little bit of money and went on saying he paid me child support he makes a good 4/5 grand a month. And only pays 500 in support. Anyways is that selfish of me to not consider Christmas gift as child support?
