Pump to bottle fed question
I plan to just pump and bottle feed my second born. With having a toddler, I want to be able to be more available to my first born and me, myself knows I can’t do that if I’m breastfeeding. Not only that, I had a really hard time feeling like a milk machine when I breastfed my first that it made me so depressed and I ended our breastfeeding journey early and switched to formula. This time, I want to feed my newborn breast milk through a bottle and feel that this is the best option for me.
Now for my question to my fellow bottle feeding mamas, the first few days what did you do? Like, did you breastfeed first to get the milk to come in? How did you first feed your baby? Just start pumping right away? I’m lost on the first few days of having a newborn and wanting to bottle feed breast milk. Thank you!
Edit to add: I plan to purchase the hands free pump that you put in your bra as well as just refrigerating pump parts and only washing them a few times instead of after every pump session. What do y’all think? I do appreciate everything that has been said so far. Making me really think.
