What helped send you into labor with your first?

My baby is way too comfortable. 40+1 and I feel like I’ve tried everything! I’ve had lots of Braxton hicks but no real labor contractions 😩 Her eviction is scheduled for Thursday but I want to try and go on my own!
Edit: if you don’t have anything nice to say, there’s no point in commenting at all. So tired of everyone on this app being pessimistic and rude! No wonder so many people feel the need to post their thoughts anonymously 🙄

I don’t think people saying nothing will help is being pessimistic.. it is true. Baby comes when they are ready, there are things you can try to help start labor, but none of them are proven effective & often do not work for people. That’s just honesty, it’s not rude or negative.

My last pregnancy I had taken red raspberry leaf tea, evening primrose oil, we had sex daily, I curb walked, I ate spice, I had a pedicure with reflexology, I hit pressure points myself, pumping, daily and mile walks and more. I tried just about everything and anything besides castor oil and she still wasn’t born until 41 weeks. And she was baby number 5 and made me wait the longest. 
I know how miserable the end is but please learn from my mistake and just rest instead of exhausting yourself trying to get babe to come.

I walked 5 miles and my water broke at 2:35 am the next morning

Idk if anything helped me go into labor early, but with my first my water broke at 38 weeks 6 days. I had been bouncing on my yoga ball, drinking red raspberry leaf tea, eating dates, walking a few miles a day and I ate this supposed labor inducing pizza Friday night and I started having contractions the next night and my water broke Monday morning. Like I said, idk if anything helped but that’s what I did. With my second though, did all the same things and I ended up being induced lol. I will say I didn’t eat the same amount of dates or bounced as much with my second that I did with my first so idk. Good luck and I hope you get to meet baby soon!

Baby will definitely come when they are ready but I went to the park for 3 hours waddling around kicking a ball with them and that’s what triggered mine 😂, I was told okra is good and pineapple ?
