Any pregnant teachers?

Did your school make any changes to help you cope better with pregnancy? I'm absolutely exhausted at 27 weeks..

Thanks girls.. I tried to get my timetable reduced as some of the lessons are a long walk and two floors away. I teach in high school. My requests were rejected though 😔

Im a paraprofessional, I got a DR note to adjust my duties and things are going well . Before that they just didn’t care .

I got a medical certificate to go on reduced work duties, so I was given less supervisions, playground duties that were in quiet places like the library, classes on ground level classrooms so I didn’t have to go up stairs etc… my school was great about it. But thankfully I’m on summer holidays now in Australia and won’t be returning to school next year.

Educator here (assistant principal) and I have noticed my colleagues aren’t calling on me as much to handle situations. That’s been nice because I am so quick to jump in. I think if you have a tribe, lean on them and talk about what you need. Not everything has to be a big plan.

My school didn’t, but I have made changes. I am sitting a lot more in class, and having the kids come to me (I teach 8th graders, so this is doable). I haven’t been in the hallways during duty because there’s too many people and no one has said anything to me about it. I am definitely feeling exhausted most days and very ready for break. Hang in there!
