Househunters - which would you pick?

Question

Looking to move before our baby arrives, but we’re so torn between two properties! Both equally suit us in size and space, but they’re very different houses. One is nice and in a really lovely location, the other is literally my dream house (which we didn’t think we would find within our budget) but on a not so great busy road. What would be most important to you?

You can update and change pretty much all elements of a house except for location. I would always choose location. That busy street isn't going away and it will only wear on you.

Location, for me, entails more than just the actual property.  Is it close to stores? Entertainment? Activities and programs you and your soon to be children would want or need?  
Is the house on the busy street fenced in completely? Front and back?

With kids I would never buy on a busy road. Maybe that’s one of the reasons is priced how it is.

You can’t fix location you can fix a house. I would choose based on location.. hard decision for sure tho.

A busy road is a no from me. Reselling it in the future could be a problem. We had the same issue, we found a house that was great, but on a busy road. At night, even with less traffic, the sound actually carries louder. We liked it so much we thought about getting impact windows. But that house sat and sat on the market. We dont want to be the sellers with the house sitting on the market in the future. So we passed on the house.
