Painful gums
I THINK my baby is having pain due to teething, and it’s hurting her a lot. She’s normally very into me massaging her gums whilst cleaning with a cleaning cloth/wipe but today she’s keeping her mouth clenched. But I don’t know if it’s because she thinks I’m giving her medicine, as she’s been poorly for a few days so have had to force nurofen into her. She keeps tugging at her right ear. Could I have hurt her when giving her the nurofen maybe ( just thought of it now as I typed that I’ve forced her to have nurofen by pushing the syringe through her clenched mouth/lips).
Her bottom two have come already and the top two have already surfaced about 10-14 days ago. She’s crying a lot, and suddenly keeps pushing herself back, smacking her head against the bed (luckily she’s doing it when on the bed otherwise her head would be banging against the floor with the sudden push back from seated position).
I’ve tried to put baby bojela, but she’s keeping her mouth sealed tight. The only thing I managed was to give her a few little individual orange juice vesicles. I tried to get sneaky clean finger in, but the moment I tried, the mouth and lips sealed shut.
I’ve given her a wipe/cloth to chomp onto, but she’s not taken to it. She has a matchstick monkey, and doesn’t chew that. She rarely chomps onto stuff.
