How to give honey to 1 year old? Help!

I’m a FTM and my 1 year old has never tried honey. She is currently sick and is coughing a lot and I heard honey helps a lot with cough. How can I introduce honey where she won’t taste it? She is picky and since she has a headache she is not in the mood to try things. Can I mix the honey in her milk or is it not effective that way? And how much should I give her? Any tips are appreciated! She is 1 year w 6 months.

My daughter LOVES toast with peanut butter, honey, and sliced banana on top. She had that a lot when we were sick and she had a bad cough. It definitely helps with the cough for a bit. Also I was giving her a spoon with a bit of honey on it before she slept. Bc she was coughing like crazy trying to sleep at night :( 
If your baby has never had honey tho, I wouldn’t try it for the first time right before a nap tho just in case!

Try a lemonade. Fresh lemon juice sweetened with honey and water. Ultimately, you’d want it a little thick to help coat the throat… but since it’s a new texture, more water can help. At least you are getting the vitamin c from the juice and antibacterial properties of the honey.
