What are all the bosses allowed to say  when a hiring person contact them about your employment. Lmao I wasn’t sure how to word it. 
I don’t know what I heard is true or not but I heard that they are not allowed to say anything except that. Yes you work there no, you didn’t.

Unless you're using your boss as a reference they shouldn't be contacting them directly.  A potential new employer verifies your employment and education history though a background check.  If they contact your current company it should be through HR and it should be to confirm your dates of employment, if you're eligible for rehire, and potentially what salary you were at.

I’m the op I thought so! I was told in the interview that she called my old boss and they said I was a good worker but stopped showing up.

Unless you are using them as a reference they aren’t allowed to say much. Start and end date, position held. They can’t comment on your performance etc. New potential employer would only contact them to confirm you haven’t lied on your application about previous employment.

They aren’t “supposed “ to say much. Yes you worked there. Dates of hire and termination. If they would rehire you or not. Some administrative assistance or hr that don’t know better will spill the beans especially if it didn’t end well ,but they aren’t supposed to.
