This will be our second boy, and we are torn on a name! Our first is named Felix Warren.

Walter is my FIL’s name, and my husband feels it is a good strong name, but my holdups are that he would share a name with someone else in the family (who is still very present in our lives), and I don’t know how I feel about the nicknames (ex: Wally). Also is Walter a weird name for a baby?

For the other option, Samuel may be more versatile for a baby and an adult and have more nickname options. It may be too popular though? Lawrence is my dad and brother’s name (my brother passed away in 2014 so it would be in his memory).

What do you guys think? I also want to choose a name that flows well with our first. I’ve loved the name Felix with our first and love that it is different and he probably won’t run into any others at school.

Thoughts? Other ideas?
