The pipes in the news has come out that they explode freezing pipes water freezes at 32 degrees Fahrenheit and below

The pipes are underground just cover with dirt. The house is insulated indoors and has a furnace but I worry about like taking a shower and ruining the pipes I wanted to ask if you regularly live somewhere that it's freezing that it's below zero do you take a shower or heat up water? Do you slowly open the faucet I'm concerned about exploding pipes and pipes breaking bursting and I wanted to know what do you do personally I take a shower daily so I'm wondering if I can turn on the shower 🚿
