Just say to him hey, do you want to grab a coffee sometime and just strike up a conversation and get to know each other talk about things are afraid of, the best Christmas gift ever got a birthday gift and why it was significant, his favorite memories, cats, or dogs, favorite flavors of ice cream, favorite foods, music, movies, just fine things in common that you can bond over get to know him better that’s the bottom line. Whether it is casual, as friends, just talking in general and slip and little things here and there how was your girlfriend feel about that or your boyfriend, for all you know he could be gay, or just start talking about yourself I am, however, many years old, I’m single, my program of study in college is, I grew up in whatever state or country, and just talk about yourself, and then say well what about you? Good luck just play it by ear, take it slow, and see where it goes. For all you know, he may not even be looking for a relationship, he may be looking for a relationship, or maybe he’s just looking for something casual, but you won’t know unless you engage beyond. You don't. I will probably get a lot of flack about it being 2022 but I don't think you should be asking the guy out.
There are too many posts on here where girls asked the guys out and end up planning all the dates 
 It usually ends up in passive reciprocation, yeah the guy will come with you to eat, yeah he will let you come over at 11pm to suck his D, yeah he will talk to you on the phone when you call him. But is he pursuing you? Nope. Then one day you stop chasing and he dissappear and you wonder what happened. The answer is NOTHING, he wasn't pursuing you then, he isn't pursuing you now.
