Does an ovulation test stay positive until you ovulate?

Does an ovulation test stay positive until you ovulate and then turn negative after ovulation? I had my first positive yesterday and it’s still positive today.. does that mean I haven’t ovulated yet?x

Opks do not mean you are ovulating or going to ovulate they are called lh tests to detect your lh surge. Your surge can last anywhere from 12/32 hours. That’s why you stop testing once a peak has been seen
