Identity Theft by my sister. What would you do?
Today I received bills in the mail from Verizon & T-Mobile. My troubled sister who is 21 years old (mental issues, bipolar) lives with her friends but she was living with me on and off (we were willing to help her, but apparently she decided living with her friends is better, equally as troubled as her. She forfeited the 2 jobs that she got hired at, through me, by leaving and moving 1 hour away).
So the Verizon bill that I received today in my name, was that she got 4 brand new iPhones and service (which was shut down as something flagged Verizon it was fraud but I still received a bill). I spent the entire day on the phone with Verizon, T-Mobile, corporate fraud depts and the physical stores and the credit bureaus. Finally I received the email on file for one of the accounts was my sisters email. And that’s how I found out…
She stole my drivers license and went to these stores putting all of this in my name. She’s not all there mentally.,. We both lost our mom and dad and I don’t have anyone else to talk to.
Should I call the police and have her arrested?
I am going after work to her friends apartment to get my drivers license back as it’s been missing for over a month 😭
I just can’t decide if I will be calling the police or if I should demand that she gives those iPhones to me and I’ll return them to the store.
What would you do?
