Okay, so I’m 4 weeks, 4 days. Little early to know if it’s sticky. But I’ll actually get to see my family — we moved away a year and a half ago and only get to see them a couple of times a year now. AND then, we’ll be spending the week with my partner’s family who likes to drink and do activities all week. Normally I’d participate but I’m already just EXHAUSTED.

Would you go ahead and tell family and close friends? Why or why not?

Also, I’m spooked about telling my family in general — I’m terrible at being the center of attention and I’ve historically been pretty private about life, love, and relationships with my family.

I want to be the one who’s not afraid to be transparent about my experience, whether the risk of miscarriage is so high or not. I’d love to be part of normalizing this experience and combating stigma… but now that it’s real… it’s a harder decision lol.
