is it normal to only see gestational sac and yolk sac at 5+3?

Had a early scan due to pervious miscarriage in October. 
This time feels different and I got to see yok sac last time at 5w3d there was no yok sack. 
The hospital will ring me with my hcg levels it was 212 at 4w1d so I’m hoping for good numbers this time

Yes it’s normal. The same thing happened to me when I booked a early scan and now I am 27 weeks pregnant with my son.

Yes! You don’t see the foetus until 5 weeks 5 days at the very earliest. Probably won’t see a heart beat until around 6 weeks. But sometimes scanning is just awkward and the uterus is at a hard angle or if you don’t do an internal this can delay things a few days. But that’s a perfect scan for 5 weeks 3 days! (I’m a sonographer).
