How would you react to a train attendant ignoring your child because they have straight hair?

So me and my 3 children were on our train ride home from visiting my MIL and this flight attendant was overly friendly with 2 of my children because they had curly hair like she was in awe and touching their hair and telling them how cute they are and played with them and my straight haired child was clearly upset and went up to the attendant who literally just ignored her and kept praising both of my 2 curly haired children. My straight haired child sat in the corner upset looking at them.

Now that I think about it I kept thinking I should’ve said something to her but didn’t know if I was overreacting…

Am I the only one who would be creeped out by and would not allow a stranger close enough to my children to touch their hair? I’d firmly but politely tell her thank you for the compliment and then redirect my childrens attention elsewhere and make it clear that this lady needs to back off.

I wouldn’t have allowed anyone to touch my children in the first place. I have boundaries and I easily enforce them.

i don’t see the big deal, straight hair is praised all the time whereas curly hair isn’t so

What exactly are you hoping to achieve by confronting her? I think this is more of a teachable moment for you as their mom to guide them on their value and people and comfort.

Comfort your child on the experience and let all three know they all are beautiful no matter what they look like sound like or whatever they are good at individually
