Implantation bleeding help? (No pictures)

I’ve been spotting for the last few days, and I’m not sure if it’s implantation or if it’s my period starting. My cycle is supposed to start Sunday the 25th. I’m just not sure what implantation is supposed to look like. The only time I’ve been pregnant was ectopic so there wasn’t any. Please help.

Implantation bleeding is rare. There are other forms of bleeding that women can experience in early pregnancy, but are usually not related to implantation. Whether or not a pregnancy is ectopic wouldn’t determine if you get implantation bleeding or not. But IF you experience IB then it would likely be very light and pink or brownish.
Usually whenever bleeding in early pregnancy is heavier is from a different cause (like a SCH). So I wouldn’t assume any spotting to be implantation related. You can rule in/out pregnancy by testing 2-3 days after your spotting started because it takes HCG 48-72 hrs to double, so once you implant you should get a positive roughly two days later!
