Would you wear Christmas PJs for Christmas at a family gathering?

Unless I was specifically told that everyone was wearing Christmas pajamas, I would wear actual clothes. Especially meeting everyone for the first time.

Hell yeah bc our family doesn’t give a damn. Neither do I. Getting dressed up just to visit the house I grew up in. Would feel more normal in pjs rather than dolled up

Depends on the tradition of the family. For us, Christmas Eve has always been dressed up (dresses, heels, button down shirts, ties, etc). Christmas Day is sort of in between. Jeans or leggings are fine but people wear a nicer sweater (except for years like this when our football team plays on Christmas Day, then we wear team gear). Some families wear Christmas pajamas, and that’s totally fine if that’s what they do. But I wouldn’t wear pajamas without my SO also wearing them.

If everyone else was wearing PJ’s, then yes. But otherwise, absolutely not.

Professionalism around family is crazy lol. I’d just go off of what your SO is wearing. If he dresses up then maybe you can too, or if he isn’t so dressy maybe you can wear pjs. Maybe ask him and see what he thinks since he knows his family and how they’d possibly react.
