C section recovery

I had a surprise c section on Wednesday evening (no emergencies though) so I never thought to look into the healing and recovery of this type of birth.

My question, is it normal for the bottom of my belly to feel numb/lack of sensation? My belly hangs a bit over my incision but it feels funky and I have no experience with this.
