When Did You Dtop Using a Monitor?

Question

In your kid’s rooms? My oldest is 3, will be 4 in July and I have an Arlo Baby in his bedroom. He comes to get us when he wakes up, but sometimes when he’s not feeling well, he will cry in bed and wait for us. 
Wondering when you stopped using a monitor in your kid’s bedrooms? Thanks!

My son is 6 and I still have monitors on when he’s upstairs and I’m downstairs.
I also have them in his playroom.

My son will be 4 in April and I’m still using ours! Only when he sleeps though. We are on the other side of the house and have baby gates on the doors because we have dogs so I plan to use his for a while. Just for peace of mind when I’m sleeping if he wakes up and needs me I will know

I’m glad you asked this question as my son just turned 4 and we still have a monitor in his room. Lately I’ve been wondering if that’s weird, but my sun won’t say anything when he wakes up. He just lays in bed silently until we come in to get him. So, I don’t feel comfortable without the monitor because we’d never know when he’s awake and ready to get up.

My room is very close to my babies room, so if we still live in this house we will stop using the monitor when she can open her door and come to us. I’m guessing like 3ish? She’s only 1 right now and still in a crib so I’m only guessing haha.

We stopped using the sound monitor when he could open the door to his own room and walk out, so around 2-2,5years.

I'm not at this stage yet but what another mama mentioned to me is she kept hers for a while in case she needed to go do yard work or if she had a bonfire in her yard or something like that, child needs to be capable of getting to you and until they're able to do so if you're outside and they're in - baby monitor stayed

Im not to this stage yet, but I’m guessing for me it’ll be when I feel that I can trust my babe to be safe in her room alone while awake as well as asleep. Not climbing anything, not putting anything in her mouth, etc. if she wakes up middle of the night and decides to play or party in her room I wanna feel confident she’ll be ok. 
I feel it’s more kid dependent than age dependent
