My Christmas Baby 🎄❤️
I went in on Christmas Eve around 6pm after having bloody show for the second time and feeling like I was having mild cramps like I had to use the bathroom. I didn’t think they’d admit me unless I was 4cm or so. I was only at a 2 or 3.
I ended up getting the epidural around 2am.
I didn’t feel much of anything after that until about 8am. The epidural wasn’t working anymore. Lol.
Then it was time to start pushing, finally! It was hurting pretty bad. I asked the doctor if she could get me more pain meds for the epidural, but she pretty much said it was pressure I was feeling, but it was not that. With my first son, I felt nothing when I was pushing. This time, I felt myself tear, and I see exactly why they call it the ring of fire. 🥲 But I also carried this one low, so I’m guessing that’s back labor?
But as soon as he was out, at 9:06am, I felt no pain or anything else that was going on. I just couldn’t stop smiling. He didn’t have any trauma, weighed 6lbs and 11oz. He is a tiny little guy. My 4yr old son is so excited for us to come home. He met him this morning and is so sad his brother and I didn’t get to go to his grandparents with him. He always grabbed my belly and would say “I love you baby brother!” That or say baby brother is getting fat 🥴
I’m so thankful I had my mom and stepdad as a support team. My stepdad watched my son in the waiting room, and my mom helped me by being there for me. Best Christmas ever! 🎄
