How do you handle unwanted touching?
Hi pretty gals, so I had a very scary situation happen to me at a gas station.
As soon as I got off my car I noticed this dude blatantly checking me out. I walked towards the door and so did he, so I pretended to go back to my car so he could walk in without waiting to hold my door.
I swear every time a man opens the door for me they always place their hand in the small of my back or shoulder as I walk in, but after this I swear I will NEVER be too shy or scared again to speak up.
He waited there with the door open and a disgusting grin on his face, I was in a rush and just couldn't wait in my car any longer and just decided to walk in. I didn't make eye contact and quietly said thank you.
I swear this man tried to walk behind me, but couldn't because there were people so he goes around, comes face to face and actually puts his hands on me!! He used one hand to run up my entire arm then enveloped me in what turned out to be a tight side hug, cuz I pushed him off of me before he could wrap himself on me, but I felt his face wanting to dig in my neck.. Like what in the actual psychopath??
I said "Ew ew, I don't like to be touched. Sorry Ew I don't like people to touch me." I don't know why in the world I apologized to this man for me not wanting to be touched. I guess it's the stranger danger alarm in my head.
When he let go he lined up super close behind me. Two guys who took notice came and wedged in between us and this man got so angry we walked out, slammed the door HARD then sped away making a big ol deal with his truck.
The guys walked me to my car but I was pretty shaken.
Like I said before, I was today's year old when I realized I will NEVER let unwanted touching slide. Throughout the years I've had guys I know give me "friendly" side hugs that linger 2 seconds too much, or they end up letting their hand fall down my back and "accidentally" graze my butt.
I've always been to polite and stupid for not calling them out, but that stops today.
How do you guys deal with unwanted touching from the opposite sex? Do you call out people when your gut tells you they're being creepy?
