How many paid days off do you get for Christmas & New Years combined? (If you are a SAHM, just put what your partner gets off. Also read description for details)

For example, if you get two paid holidays for Christmas and two paid holidays for New Years, that’s a total of 4 days off

I only get paid for Christmas Day because it fell on a day I normally work. I’m working New Years Day. I get Time in Lieu for working holidays.

I didn’t respond to the poll because I wasn’t sure how to answer. My husband and all other employees at his job are on winter layoff from December 23–January 9 with base pay. From there they can choose to go back to work January 10 or remain on layoff until February 20. If they remain laid off until February it’s unpaid.

Just the bank holidays. 
A day for Christmas Day (so we got Monday) a day for Boxing Day (Tuesday) and a day for New Year’s Day (will be Monday 2nd) 
Any other days are classed as working days. I work in a chocolate factory and the factory has been closed since 23rd so I’ve had to book the days off with my annual entitlement.

0. I’m a health care worker. I can take them off with out issue because our clinic is closed, but I have to use my PTO if I want to be paid. If I don’t have PTO, it’s unpaid.

My last job (unemployed currently) always gave us the week between Christmas and new years off. Plus any weekends surrounding. So like if the 24th was a Monday, we’d have the sun and sat before off. And if the 1st was a Friday we’d also have that immediate weekend off. It was nice!! All weekdays were paid at regular rate for 8 hours a day. And if you decided to work (100% volunteer basis) then you got paid double time for all hours worked.

None I’m a carer.  Between us we still have to cover every day including Xmas day but those with kids tend to work the New Year’s Eve and day and those without cover Xmas day so us with young children can be at home Xmas day xx

None. I’m required to work holidays unless they fall on my normal days off. If they fall on my normal days off then I will get 8 hrs of pay. I can not request holidays off & if I call out on holidays I get penalized.

My husband is a truck driver so if he wants time off it's not paid. Lol With that said he's been home since the 20th & hopefully going back to work for the week today. He'd be back on Friday, off for the weekend & back at it after new years. Luckily the holidays landed on weekends this year
