First period post c-section

I think I’m finally having my menstrual cycle. My son is 9 weeks old and I’m not breastfeeding but the blood is like dark brown? This is my first c-section birth. My others were vaginal so I had a pretty regular first period. Is the dark brown normal? It’s clottty which I expected. Just not this brown.
