Baby is 5 days old….need help!

I had plans to only breastfeed my baby however, Baby girl was born underweight & the doctors suggested we supplement with formula to increase her weight. Due to supplementing with formula I’m having a hard time to get baby girl to take my breast. What do I do?? Is this normal??? When I try to latch her she just cries. It’s heartbreaking because I really want to breastfeed her.

Any ideas/ suggestions! I will welcome them.
