Anyone deal with this with their little ones? Was it difficult to get imaging of it? Did you have to get multiple ultrasounds done? How many days of pain did your LO go through before a diagnosis?

My daughter (16m) gets these episodes of intense pain. She scream cries, draws her knees up, arches her back, squirms around, and is just visibly in pain. It lasts 20 minutes or so. She’s had a fever here and there. She’s been extra tired. She only wants to be held. She isn’t smiling. This has been going on for about 3-4 days.

We came to the ER yesterday and ruled out this, flu, and uti. The ultrasound yesterday showed nothing. We came back today since the episodes were worse even with pain meds in her system. They still think it’s the stomach telescoping in on the intestines but said it can be hard to get confirmation. I hope we don’t just get sent home saying it’s just a virus like they did yesterday. Not sure how to advocate for my daughter if that happens.

I just want her to feel better. It’s awful watching the episodes happen.
