I have been debating posting this for a while, since I really don’t like to clump one group of people together. But I am cannot help but notice that the people I know who are religious and go to church every Sunday also happen to be seriously lacking in morals. Please keep in mind I know very few religious people so my observation could definitely be completely off track, but I am very curious if anyone else happened to notice this. This is something I am only really noticed in Christian/catholic people, not other religions.

If this offends anyone, I really do apologize, like I said, I don’t know a lot of religious people, it’s just the handful I know that meet the description, I absolutely do not think ALL or even MOST do, just maybe a lot

I can give my husbands two aunts (they are sisters) as examples- both terrible people. But they never miss a Sunday mass. Racist, homophobic, transphobic, hate anyone different than them. I spend very very little time with them, but when I do see them they are also gossiping, talking trash about people.

An old coworker- she was just a shady person. She would do grimy things like buy windshield wipers and then put her old ones in a box and return it. Bought a huge kiddie pool for her sons birthday party, used it for the weekend then return it. One time someone pumped gas, and their credit card was still on the pump, so she filled up her tank with someone else’s card. She was never ashamed, she would brag about this. She always went to church tho.

Are religious people generally like this?

Or so these people know they are they evil so they go to church to feel better about themselves?
