I miscarried 2 weeks ago today at 5w2.

My blood draws showed hcg of 42 on dec. 16 and 46 on dec 19. It is believed that I miscarried on Dec. 17 as that is when I passed a lot of blood and tissue.

Since then, I have had bleeding that alternates between brown and bright red, with a few small clots.

I had an ultrasound done yesterday and my doctor said there was no sign of pregnancy or retained tissue so it looks like I definitely did miscarry.

But at this point I am still tearing positive on pregnancy tests, not faint lines either, not dark but just positive for sure. I feel like if my hcg was only 46 almost 2 weeks ago then surely it shouldn’t still be picked up on home pregnancy tests?? I asked my doctor this and he said to call back in a week if I’m still bleeding and he will order more blood hcg tests.

Does anyone have experience with this? I feel like most early miscarriages I have read about at 5 weeks or so, the bleeding doesn’t last more than a week and tests turn negative pretty quickly.
