am I just over thinking this?

seriously I have no where else to vent but here so here it goes, am I the only one that think that there man should like open the door for them when there going to eat like I mean I know it’s not a big deal just eariler so me and my boyfriend went to eat well most the time I’m always behind that person and when I always go out to eat the man in the group always opens the door for us or mainly me and my boyfriend so he said your just being lazy.. cause I’m so use to him opening the door for me.. I mean like I said I know it’s not a big deal or anything what is y’all’s ladies thoughts and opinions on this? idk maybe I just have high expectations 😂

I don’t expect it, but my husband always opens doors for me, sometimes even the car door 😅 I don’t think you bringing it up means you’re lazy. A man should want to do nice things for his lady

So I’m from the north and my husband is from the south. Prior to moving here, I wouldn’t have expected or thought twice about having the door opened for me—and it’s not as common where I’m from. My husband, he opens the door (to buildings and car doors), won’t let me walk to the car in the rain, won’t let me carry anything, won’t sit down at the table until all the women are seated first, all sorts of chivalrous things. Even though I wasn’t raised like that, I think it is really nice, and I hope my son is just like his dad!

I think calling you lazy as a response says alot about him. It's not wrong to want to be treated like a lady. You're just looking to the wrong men for it. My husband opens all doors for me and opens the car door for me. Holds the umbrella above me so I can go out in the rain. Etcetc

My SO always holds the door for literally any and everyone. Thats just who he is. 
I dont particularly care for it for myself. I know how to open a door. But i have never asked him not to or said anything about it to him because theres no need to. 
I think expecting it is a bit much. Nobody is required to hold a door for you
