Hello, I have a daughter who will be 4 next month and she has been invited to a few birthdays. She has a hard time understanding that the presents/cake is for her friend, not her. How can I help her understand this? I’ve tried talking to her about it but that didn’t really help. We don’t have a ton of friends or family around so it’s not something she’s been exposed to often. I don’t want to make her feel upset or bad about it, I just want to help her understand that we are there to celebrate her friend 😄
