It is normal to experience cramping a week before a period - it could be a sign of pregnancy, ovulation cramping, an early period, or nothing at all.

Unfortunately cramps a week prior to period can be a symptom of PMS or of early pregnancy, so not a reliable indicator of pregnancy.
On a normal month I tend to get mild cramp on and off for as long as a week prior to period arriving. I also had cramp around the same time when I became pregnant last so it really just depends on what is normal for you as everyone is different.
Some people get it before their period, others don't even get cramp during their period. It really is a question of what is normal for you ☺️
