Big Changes
My daughter will be 2 in February. We’re going to visit family for her birthday, and when we get back from that trip there are a few big changes that I think she’ll be ready for: potty training, a big girl bed, and reducing nursing to just morning and night (the last one is more something that I personally am more ready for.)
I don’t want to change too much too fast, and I’m just wondering if anyone has tips or experiences with making some of these changes close together.
I’ll add, she’s been using the toilet since 11m, hasn’t pooped in a diaper since she was about 15m, and regularly has dry diapers. So I know potty training is going to be pretty easy, it’s just a matter of devoting the time to it. (I have an 8wo so I haven’t felt up to it yet.)
And the big girl bed is because she has recently started swinging her leg up onto the side of the crib when we take her sleep sack off. She’s never actually climbed out of the crib, and she can’t when she’s in the sleep sack, but I’d rather make the transition before she tries to climb out and gets hurt.
And as far as nursing, she currently nurses for 5 minutes morning, before nap, after nap, and bedtime. So I’d like to cut it down to just morning and night.
