How long did you lose chunks of your mucus plug for towards the end of pregnancy?

I am 37+6 and have been losing my mucus plug for two weeks. How long does this go on for?! I lose a bit every single day. I never had it with my first. Mucus plug is mostly brown/beige/snotty colour. Lots of period type cramps and a couple of contractions here and there but nothing consistent. I know it doesn’t mean labour is near, as obviously been losing it for a while, but just seems strange for it to keep coming out every day!
