My OB told me I was made to have babies 😅
First baby, labored at home for about 5 hours. Got to the hospital at 10:30am and the nurse told me I might get sent home because I want cursing at her or yelling... I was 7-8cm! Once she finally did a cervical check and figured that out, they QUICKLY got me the epidural and I pushed for 30 min. Violet was born at 1:33pm at 41 weeks.💜
Second baby... I started contracting at around 11:00am. Thought they were Braxton Hicks so I went about my day. Went out to dinner with my parents, husband and toddler. Casually pull out my phone and start the contraction timer. My husband laughs and says, "we aren't going home are we?" 😅 My parents took our toddler home and we went to the hospital. Checked in at 6:45pm and was 2-3cm. With my history of fast labor, they kept me. We were laboring in the room doing fine and the epidural gal came in and said they were getting busy so it was epidural early (right then) or possibly never. I took the right now lol it slowed things down for a little while. I joked to my husband that she better hurry up if she wants to compete with her sister for fast labor. She heard me... They let us labor alone for a while and I suddenly had the urge to push. I told my husband to push the button! "For the drugs?" 🤣🤣 NO FOR THE DOCTORS!! When they got in, her head was already 3/4 of the way out. I pushed for 45 seconds and was holding her at 9:43pm. Ellie was born on her due date ❤️
Hope these stories help those that are super stressed about labor!
Happy new year!! 🥂🎉
