Is it weird to find adult actors/actresses attractive while they’re playing teens?

I saw someone post about it on tiktok a while ago and didn’t necessarily agree with it. But now I feel super grossed out with myself for being in awe with the dude on outer banks. Even though he’s actually like 28, and I’m literally only 25. It does kinda make me feel weird that I’m checking him out while he’s portraying a 17 year old 🥴 
I’m probably over thinking it big time and only feel icky about it bc of that video but was curious of others thoughts

Eh. If someone is attracted to the character, maybe a little self examination is needed, but even then a lot of “teens” are written more like young adults. 
If they’re way past the high school age, and particularly attracted  to the fact that the character is young or child like, we’re in red flag territory. 
If they just think the actor is attractive separate from the character, it’s fine. They don’t stop existing as people just because they take in an acting role.

It grosses me out now that I’m an adult to realize how many tv shows are centered around teenagers and how often those shows include sex scenes. If you think the character is cute, yes weird. If it’s just the actor, no.

Nope! They are still adults. They are just playing a younger role while not actually being that age. It’s not weird at all because you know they are an adult. It’s just a role. It doesn’t change anything.

If you think they are attractive because they look like teens/kids…then obviously that’s a problem. But look at The Vampire Diaries. The people that played the characters were adults while majority of them were portrayed as teens. The characters were definitely attractive but not because they were playing teenagers.

i don’t think it’s weird. they look like adults, and most of the time act like adults and not teenagers. now if an actor looked and acted the age they were playing that would be weird but american shows don’t do that 😭

Bring that he’s an actual adult no. Now if he were a child playing and adult or whatever I find it odd.
