Breastfeeding W/ Nipple Piercings??

Hey guys, I’m almost 33 weeks and trying to plan ahead. While I have read a lot of amazing things in breastfeeding, there’s only one thing that I absolutely hate. Not knowing if I should, or if I don’t have too, take my piercings out of my nipples while breastfeeding. I really don’t want too but I want to get other mothers opinions. Please let me know your thoughts or any tips?

They are a choking hazard if you don’t take them out. You can always take them out while feeding and putting them back in after but it seems like a lot of work to me.

You would have to take them out to breastfeed but totally worth it and I was able to put my back in after I was done breastfeeding

It’s not practical to keep them in, unfortunately. 
You’d have to remove them for every single feed as they are a choking hazard. 
Babe will be eating every 2-3 hours or sooner so that’s 8-12+ times a day that you’d be removing them. And when you are sleep deprived, it’s very easy to forget to remove them which isn’t good. 
It’s best to remove them and get them redone once done breastfeeding.
I plan to get mine redone once I’m done!

I took mine out when I was pregnant with my twins (born Dec 2020) and left them out until around May/June of 2022 (pregnant) and mine had not closed up from the time I took them out to the time I stuck them back in to see if they were closed or not. So you might get lucky that they don’t close up. I’m breastfeeding my 1 week old baby and I have milk coming out the holes so I take it that they are still open

I took them off while pumping because I wasn’t able to breastfeed directly. They never closed tho, and I didn’t have them for like 10 days

Mine are pierced so what I done was just removed my previous every time I was going to breast feed it is a lot of work but definitely worth it
