Anybody else taking Lexapro or the generic version?

My OB just started me on Lexapro three days ago because I’m having a lot of complications mentally this pregnancy due to various reasons I’d like to keep to myself. I have been reading up on side effects and they are scaring me. Just wondering if anybody else is on this antidepressant as well

I'm on it and it works for me. The doctor would put you on something that would hurt the baby, trust me. All types of medications have pros and cons. The doctors always look at the list of pros over cons and that's how they make their decision. Not only that but Lexapro is a class A medication which just means that their is no cases where an unborn has problems or died due to the medication. All medications have a classification that all doctors have to abide by or they could loose their licenses

I was on lexapro before I got pregnant and coming off it was horrible and I also believe it’s permanently damaged my memory but that is just my experience x

I am on Lexapro 20mg and am currently 17 weeks pregnant. I also take Wellbutrin. Haven’t had any negative effects and everything is looking great with the baby 💙
