I have a 6 year old Mirena IUD so I’ve had one or two periods a year since I got the thing, meaning my cycle is wildly irregular. Almost every cycle I wind up with PMS symptoms after my period ends and I’ll psych myself out thinking they’re pregnancy symptoms (mood swings, nausea, low grade fever, breast swelling, etc.).

Long story longer, it’s happening again, only I just had a period four weeks ago which has never happened since getting the IUD. Could just be that the hormones are wearing off, but that could also mean the thing is loosing efficacy? I know I should just take a test but I don’t want to bother if I’m being irrational, so my question is how early did your first pregnancy symptoms start and how early is too early?
