Does this sound like growing pains?

My 2.5 year old has not slept well this week. He keeps waking up saying he doesn’t want to sleep but he also keeps saying his legs hurt at night. Last night he was saying “mommy mommy my leg hurts. Give it a kiss please” while crying in bed. During the day he’s perfectly fine. Running around. NO complaints of pain. Does this sound like growing pains? Or should I make a doctor appointment?
