I got an ultrasound at 5 weeks 5 days and they saw the uterus was empty. My HCG level was 4,500 and had been doubling every 48 hours accordingly. They marked on my ultrasound:

“9mm left extraovarian left adnexal mass suspicious for an ectopic pregnancy”

They told me I could take the pill to stop pregnancy as it may be ectopic or I could wait it out and continue to have HCG monitored and come back for another ultrasound. I’m so confused as to why they would even offer to terminate without being able to tell me for sure it was ectopic. Well I have an ultrasound scheduled for today which is two days after and then one for later in the week depending on what they find. Tell me your similar stories please.
