When do chemical pregnancies usually take place?

I know this might not have a solid answer but i’m just curious. Do chemical pregnancies usually occur before your period is due and then your period starts at the same time? I had a chemical a few months back and I got very faint lines for a couple of days and then my period came the day it was supposed to.

Technically a chemical pregnancy is any miscarriage before the baby is big enough to be seen on an ultrasound (hence why it’s called a “chemical” pregnancy, since the only evidence of it is the chemical presence that blood and urine tests detect). So any miscarriage before about 6 weeks is classed as a chemical pregnancy.
