Sleeping schedule

My baby is 4 months old &’ I was told that she was supposed to get out this stage were she’s waking up every 3 hours to feed &’ start sleeping through the night ..
She has never slept through the night .
Is this true?
When did y’all’s baby’s start sleeping through the night ?
Am I feeding her to much ?
