Do you have to have a special kind of thermometer to get your bbt?

Yep it's called a basal body thermometer. They give you a more accurate temp, measuring to the hundredth degree instead of just the tenth. This is important because a change in bbt can be as little as a rise or fall .01 degree and that change needs to be charted. They sell them either in the pharmacy section by family planning and pregnancy tests or by the regular thermometers. But it has to say basal body thermometer on it. They run about $10!
