Who handles talking to mechanics
My husband is handy I mean really attempts to fix anything and everything and is really good about detail.
Issues we do not handle we take our vehicles to mechanic. My husband always makes me handle issues. I generally have no issue doing that but I have no idea about anything. His view is he gets too worked up.
Late last night my husband blew a tire. We took it to our mechanic as we needed to buy a new one. No biggie. Mechanic called him and told him he needed 4 new tires because the ones purchased were the wrong size for our vehicle. My husband then called me to talk to the mechanic. Like this is so in his wheelhouse to handle and its his vehicle. I think it's odd as a woman and wife I have to call about my husband's vehicle lol.
20 minute phone call resulted in the auto shop replacing 3 tires for free as it was their error and they handled the whole situation wrong when talking to either of us. My husband said he as a man wouldn't have had the same response from the autoshop.
This stumps me because I always feel like guy mechanics take advantage more of people (generally women) then a man?
He thinks differently? He thinks guys are more willing to want to help a woman and not make her feel unsafe.
What is yalls roles in a relationship when it comes to vehicles?
