Am I infertile?

My boyfriend and I have unprotected sex all the time and don’t use the pullout method. We’ve been doing this very often for months and somehow I still haven’t gotten pregnant. Should I be concerned at all about my fertility?

Answer

No. It can take a healthy couple, on average, up to a year to conceive when actively trying. So, unless/until you are actively trying to get pregnant for a year or longer, there’s no reason to worry about fertility issues. It sounds like you have simply gotten lucky with not getting pregnant at this point. However, that luck can, and will eventually run out. So, if you’re not wanting to get pregnant right now, then you definitely need to start using a proper form of protection (condoms and/or other birth control). ￼
