You need to temp first thing when you wake up, before you get out of bed or move around. You should be temping at the same time each day as well. Also temping vaginally is more accurate.

I’d personally say neither. As said before, it has to be as soon as you wake up. I sleep with mine under my pillow for this reason so I don’t have to sit up or get up and look for it 🤣

It should be immediately upon waking. If you've moved around lots (sat up, got out of bed etc.), the results won't be reliable.
