Any other users put off by the registry sharing feature?

Second time user here and I feel like these boards were much more active before the sharing registry feature. Wondering if anyone has noticed or felt the same way?

I just don’t understand the point. If someone buys you something you have to buy something for someone else. I’d rather just buy myself something I need if  we have to spend money anyways 🤷🏼‍♀️ but ya I hate seeing it everywhere, it’s just annoying

I feel like it’s super inappropriate to ask strangers to buy you things. Especially in a recession, plus you’re asking other people who likely have children of their own to care for.

I had this app 4 years ago with my first child and I don’t remember there being this “registry” stuff and if there was it def wasn’t pushing registries all over the app

I don’t like it. I don’t like the glow tries to offer a premium membership for a fee and does this registry thing. I can only assume they get small portion of profit for things sold and that’s why they push it. How does glow know if the person legitimately needs it or is soliciting expecting mothers and selling it elsewhere?

Yeah, I don’t get it. “No soliciting, unless it’s a wishlist” lol makes sense 😬
