Does anyone’s hairdresser go days without responding to them? I will ask my hairdresser on a Sunday if she has an appointment that week. She won’t even reply to me until 2,3 sometimes 4 days later! Is this a thing?? I have been through this before with previous hairdressers but i would at least get a response after 24 hours. I’ve even waited on my current hairdresser for a week to reply. I know she is very busy so I don’t want to bug her. Bcuz it’s not like she forgets to respond, it’s almost like she responds when she feels like it….? I’ve even asked her for an appointment, waited 2 or 3 days, text her again and she still didn’t respond until 2-3 days later AFTER the 2nd text! I love how she does my hair. And she does have a lot of clientele. And her shop is small; only 2 people at a time. She rents a space inside those commercial buildings with other artists. I get my hair done once a month(in small 2 strand twists) and she tells me I shud just book my next appointment while I’m at her shop. And that’s fine but my schedule with work, having a toddler and just life in general, I don’t like to follow such a strict schedule with my hair. But does that mean she can answer me when she wants, just bcuz I don’t make recurring appointments? Is this the hair game? Lol. I want to add without getting any flack that I am African American and so is she. I do not want to stop going to her so I guess I shud just deal with it…finding someone who knows Afro-amer hair and takes care of it is very hard to find! Oh and I usually know exactly what day I can get my hair done about a week before.
