How to ask someone if they are “clean”?

I’m starting to get back into the dating world. How do you ask someone if they are free of stds?

It can feel weird to ask but being able to ask and answer this question is a huge insight to someone's maturity level.  
My suggestion would be,  once you are sure you want to go there with this person,  decide your stance on condoms and use that as a starting point. 
I fully (intend/don't intend) to use condoms during sex, but in the interest of protecting us both,  I (am/am not) clear of STDs. Are you? 
They're reaction to both parts of that will tell you a lot about whether you want to move forward sexually with this person.

Here's one rule I followed when I started  dating. Every person that I would even talk to I pretty much say hey would you mind us doing like maybe a hangout going  getting tested for an STD or anything else. I pretty much explain  like yeah you could be telling me you're clean but I want to see the paperwork that you are for my safety so you can see me as well that I'm clean. If a guy refused I would block them but the guy said yeah let's go do it I would not.

When it’s time … make sure he knows that you don’t engage in anything with anyone unless u know they’re clean.
“If you’re serious about this , I need to MAKE SURE you’re free of any STD , NOT SAYING that you have something, i just rather be sure than to be sorry , I wish I can trust everyone but I just can’t and I hope you understand that”

Just ask them when was the last time they had a full panel done and if they’ve had any new partners since then. Ask for a screenshot of the results, and share yours as well.
