Uhhh this make sense to anyone or am I the only 1 confused?

My husbands 90 year old dad came by the house today.

He said “your husband called me at 11 this morning do you know why?”

I said “I’m not sure, would you like me to ask?”

He said “why don’t you ask”

I texted my hubby

“Hey your dad is here to do some laundry he saw you called and wanted to know why”

My husband said “wow who makes a big deal out of these things!!!”

I said “what?”

He said “if someone were to tell me that I would be just say ok”

I said “Not me. If my brothers girlfriend called me and I happened to see my brother out full knowing she is at work, as you were, I would say to him hey Sammy called do you know why?”

My husband said “that’s weird, no one fucking does that and why are you and my dad making this into a big fucking deal?!!!??!!?!?!!??!!?? And what you described is DIFFERENT”

I said “How???” And then I said “I’m so confused”

He said “No you’re not now you’re playing dumb acting innocent like oh looook at me I didn’t do anything wrong” then he said “your example is different cos that’s a phone call apparently they wanted to know or ask you something”

I said “right ok you’re right it’s different what I described and the situation with your dad I’m very sorry, see you soon”

Then his dad came here and he asked why he called

My husband stated why and said idk why she didn’t just ask me that question

Ummmmmmmmm

I said I did

He said you didn’t you were making it into a HUGE DEAL

What?! What!!!!!

Does this make sense to anyone or am I the only 1 confused?
